iPhone at a reasonable price?

I am selling my 6 month old iPhone for R3800 neg if you're interested. Drop me a PM and we can discuss further.

Officially: it'll be here in August. Thats straight from the Vodacom ******* regional manager. He checked his Blackberry when I was speaking to him and showed me the e-mail.

Was he scratching something with his other hand?

As far as my inside sources go at Vodacom, they are have just recently signed the Vodacom/Apple agreement (I've seen the actual agreement!) and are going to roll out the iPhone Mid September.

As well as that they are also rolling out their new WIMAX service that they have secretly been working on for some time now. That will come in July.

Best we can do is wait and see! :-) So don't go upgrading yer cell contacts to get that new Nokia or HTC :p

Who? Vodacom or Apple?

iPhone with WIMAX would be interesting. As long as it's not WIMAX in stead of 3G, but just in addition to 3G.

Vodacom, I've been furiously trying to investigate wether the iPhone is going to support WIMAX... Unfortunately all my source at Vodacom is allowed to tell me is that they are releasing their WIMAX service soon... Wether the iPhone uses it, I am not 100% sure.

Thanks for all the great replies... but I definitely came to the conclusion a while ago to wait for the new edition. Though isn't September a bit far off for a device that should be coming out next month? And does anyone know if Core will be stocking it at their iStores and resellers or if it will only be available through vodacom?

June 9th is when Apple will introduce it.

Apple is selling 'em for +- $250 refurbished in the states. I'm going back up to NY on Thursday and I'll pick a couple up. I already got two guys who are willing to pay R4k a piece... Covers my air ticket. (almost) :D

It's only four months. The UK waited about as long for it too. If you buy one now you are really going to hate yourself in four months' time

Damn, I'll remember this next time I go. Then again, if it's released in S.A. that window of opportunity might be closing (depending on the price).

honestly... Don't Be Silly, Just Wait For The Iphone 2.0 To Arrive, As It Will Be Coming To South Africa... Why Get A Product That You Have To Unlock And Can't Update Cause You Have To Wait For The Unlock Software To Support New Versions First, When You Can Just Wait Well... A Few Weeks Longer ;)

+1.

I'll try and get hold of that info from my guy at Vodacom.

Hey guys. If you looking for a local supplier my friend is selling them. Check out

I think the asking price is ridiculous. I don't think importing one with duties would even cost that much.
