Yup with your network provider or if you have a large SIM already that you wish to use you can always cut it down to size

Go to CellC store. They issue it right there. R100-00 (or do the sim cut technique suggested for free and risk it not working, then go buy mini sim. :D)

Exactly :) Nothing to lose right :) Althought you would seriously need to be blind/mess up badly to fsk it up. The template is pretty precise and you just need a decent pair of scissors.

But having said that I doubt the OP has a spare large working SIM card for his iPad which he can cut, unless he wants to save some cash and buy a new big one and cut it down :D Just get a proper one imo though. Shop around, I know with Vodacom they range from R39 to R100 depending on which shop you ask :p

It is relatively easy to cut. As long as you do not cut into the metal contacts, it should be fine, even if it is not cut 100%.

I have a Sim for Namibia that has been 'roughly' cut and works without any trouble. Get a stanley blade and you are good to go

Hey guys

Where do you get a microSIM for an iPad?

Regards

Ook

Good day

You can get a micro sim at the store,
They can do swap and active while you wait.
What nice with getting a micro sim, you get the board with it,
That if want to put in to normal phone, just put it back in and insert.

http://gadgets.softpedia.com/news/How-To-Turn-a-SIM-Card-into-a-MicroSIM-DIY-Guide-9668-01.html

On the one hand I can do it myself

On the other, it'll be good to have the store-bought microSIM card as you'll get the adapter in case you want to put it into a normal phone...

...decisions... decisions... :D

I've tried to cut one myself. It's quite easy. But I think I cut it too small

At least it was not RICA'd... :D

Scrap that. After two failed attempts... Either I cut it the wrong way round, or the template is not the correct size...

Meh.

HI The_Librarian

Some times easier to get the original one :D
I know that some places you can get it cut, with a punch like gadget...... :whistling:

Managed to cut a sim.

Took four sim's before i got it right.

So if you want to DIY, buy a couple of SIM cards, but dont RICA them. Experiment, until you get it right. Then you RICA the final product.

I need to RICA my SIM tomorrow. Will let you guys know whether it's been accepted or not...
