iPhone launch exploited by pharming attack

The article was a bit vague, but the trojan does NOT affect the iPhone itself.. it just uses the iPhone as bait for stupid people.

So it's targeting Windows users . . . .
Forward it to apple and they'll patch it for next update to be released soon, nothing major.
You mean microsoft? :D
Oooh, this iPhone just gets more and more appealing! But that is just me being jealous again... apparently.
Might I suggest substituting Windows for iPhone for the sake of accuracy? :o

This is NOT a trojan that affects any phones....

It just uses the iPhone as bait for a normal PC user to get into their hosts file etc... its not a very complex trojan it seems.

From the looks of it, its not targetting the iphone itself but rather the launch of the iphone. you might get a mail to click on a link to find out more about the iphone etc etc and ask you to download something. Your windows machine will then become infected.

Any half decent AV package should be able to detect the trojan.

Just another way for scammer to get your info - happend for the olympics, for hurican katrina etc. There's always someone who will fall for it.

The article headline is worded badly.

the "ifart" is still way too expensive...

First time you use an iPhone, you'll be ish1tting yourself.

Yes, it's that good. No, actually it's brilliant.

I look at Nokios, Samsungs, SonyEriccsons, etc and think.... they all seem so yesterday. :p

Precisely kingrob... nothing comes anywhere close to the iPhone anymore, esp after i've used one for nearly a week now...

/derail continuing

Good.. hopefully it'll still feel that way for moi after a year and a half...
There are a few failings on the phone, but they can pretty much all be solved with apps, except the A2DP issue, other than that everything is a software issue for now.

By the time we can afford the iPhone3g, it will have been replaced by the 4g version.
