IPhone thieves find Apple support helpful

Ok this makes sense..

I was reading an article the other day of thieves only demanding iPhones and leaving droids alone. Joke is most of the comments on them was that even thief's had taste. I now know what that taste exactly means.

Not the original that I was looking for but found many similar stories

Some Columbia University students were recently robbed in upper Manhattan. While robberies happen on the streets of New York City every day, this particular instance was an interesting case of smartphone theft.

The pair of bandits ambushed three students and demanded that they hand over their iPhones. Not only did the robbers demand iPhones specifically, but they also refused to steal Droid or Blackberry phones. Ouch.

NBC New York reports:
Twice at 526 114th St., and once at 556 114th St., the suspects demanded the victims hand over their iPhones, police said.
The first victim complied, but the second only had a Droid, according to police. The thieves apparently didn’t want a Droid — so they took cash instead.
The third victim also didn’t have an iPhone, but the men allegedly refused to believe her and threw her against a fence to search her.

One of the students commented that, “”I think it speaks to the resale value of an iPhone,” while another felt insulted that the robbers refused to take her Blackberry. Yet another victim said, “I don’t like mine. I’m waiting to get an iPhone myself.”

This article was not written by the MyBB editorial staff. It comes straight from Reuters. It is an international article. There isn't always local news to report, so on occasion all publications will fill in their content with syndicated materials. Often the staff are so busy working on actual important news that they want to get right for us indignant and entitled MyBB readers, that they don't have anything new to post every few hours as the update schedule demands, so they will use syndicated content to keep things flowing.

For the record, I never knew that Apple support worked in this manner, and I found it to be a funny and entertaining article on something OUTSIDE of SA that still holds relevance. As a BB owner, I had a nice chuckle about it. The news shouldn't always be dreary or serious.
