Will OLED make its way to devices with bigger screens such as laptops? I've never heard about a laptop with an OLED screen.

OLED displays suffer from a large number of shortcomings that make them less suitable for use in laptops or monitors. First, OLED cells burn out in relatively short order. Second, as they decay, frequently displayed images will remain on the screen – which is known as “ghosting.” Third, OLED technology costs more than LCD. Manufacturers are working on these issues, and have arguably conquered some, but it’s not quite ready for PCs yet.

PC monitors display static images for hours at a time, unlike mobile devices or TV's - hence why there aren't any OLED PC monitors or laptops.

Samsung from 2010 says Hi.

Any predictions on their marketing spin on this?

"Introducing the all new AppleLED screen, featuring millions of individual LEDs that get turned on and off as your screen content dynamically changes. This new technology allows us to get a superior contrast rate to our previous screens"
"The only thing that has changed is Absolutely.Everything"

Samsung from 2010 says Hi.

Careful, that Edge is likely to anger the Sheeple...
In B4 butthurt that Apple are the greatest innovators of our time and that everyone else copies them

OLED displays are the future - most colour accurate, most power saving and infinite contrast, hence why Samsung have made the best mobile displays for 3 years in a row according to Display Mate, and why Apple are now coming on board.

Based on our extensive Lab tests and measurements listed below, the Galaxy Note 5 is the Best performing Smartphone display that we have ever tested. It takes over from the Galaxy Note 4, which was the previous record holder for mobile display performance

And this is in comparison to the iPhone 6/6s display too.
