iPhone vs Android

Well if the app store is your biggest issue, then you made the jump too early. The next version of the play store enables filtering by rating so you can get rid of the junk.

More or less what I'd say as well. I'm an iPhone fan, not an Apple fan. I get more than enough tinkering opportunities and hardware magic at work and at home everyday. The one thing I do not want to feel obliged to customize or tweak or break is my phone. It's too important to have it sometimes do weird stuff. So I don't jailbreak either.

I don't have any tablets at the moment, but I'd probably enjoy an Android tablet a good deal from the few times I've used one.

It depends what you want out of your device...

For me I find the simplicity of the iPhone great. Never felt that I needed an SD card for more storage and definitely not a removable battery.

On Windows phone now and finding it even more restricted than iOS.

Hmm - I have switched from iOS (iPhone) to Android (Samsung Galaxy S#) on three occasions over the past 5 years, every time finding myself happy to return to the exact same device that I had "finally abandoned for good" within days. Interestingly enough - it was Apple "breaking" a feature with the update that made me leave, and was more the form factor that the OS that made me return to the iPhone. I will admit though - the majority of iOS apps feel a bit more polished. I also have a Windows Phone (8.1) in a drawer that I play with once every few weeks. I consider myself someone with an open mind - trying different options, and end up back with iOS & iPhone every time. Not a fanboy, but do love to hate Apple I think

For me, I look at price, functionality and practicality.....so it would be Android for me.

was on iphone 3g then sony something with Android. Got an iphone 5 and got sick of it, got LG G3 (annoying now) and going to sell my iphone5 and G3 and get the iphone 6 64gb.

What is so annoying about the LG?

LAG, random reboots, slows down after a days use. Music quality sucks. the good is of course battery and functions.

moving back to iphone...

Was seriously considering the LG G3 at one point.Went with the iPhone 6 and can't be happier.

For users who want a simpler, easier to use experience, I'd recommend iPhone. You open the box, pick it up and use it without ever reading instructions. The interface is pretty fluid and sleek looking too.

That said, I'm probably going with an Android phablet next time I get a new phone, as I hear they make accessing and sharing files easier.

I just took two pictures and one video and tried to send them to my son... what a schlep.
Whatsapp can't send photos

You'll need to elaborate, Whatsapp has sent photos and videos since it came out. Do note that the quality is decreased. iMessage or email is better as the quality is retained.

Whatsapp can't send photos
BBM can send photos but not videos - it also scales the images down
I eventually skyped them and emailed them... I'm not sure of the final result - whether they're intact or not.
I don't want to have to install iCloud everywhere just to share my photos.
Now that's one major frustration with iOS

Any suggestions?

The issue here is that, on android you can select pics or videos to send from gallery while on iOS you can only do so within whatsapp. iOS only has this option for sharing by email, Airdrop and iMessage

That must be the 'problem' then.
