Ya, I think the customs holds everything that comes into SA, my friend sent it via United State Postal Service with Express Mail, it should've been here 2days ago(it was dispatched from USA on the 2Feb and they stated it'll arrive in 5 to 7 days.) But now I find out it been stopped by the customs...don't know when they'll release it tho...hopefully get it next week sometime...

I understand that if it goes through the postal system it get's stopped by customs, but don't DHL have systems to expedite it? I thought they sorted out duties etc and then you have to pay DHL before they hand it over...

Mine should be shipped today or tomorrow, and with 3-5 days that means I get it next week. However, I'm away the following week, so if it gets held up at customs for a few days and takes longer than 5 days I will miss the delivery.

Can I please STOP anyone from thinking about buying the HD2. I have one, had it since launch day and it's CRAP. It's got a nice big screen and that's where it stops. Battery life on the thing is HALF a day folks...don't let anyone fool you. HALF a freaking day! Windows Mobile 6.5 is probably also the worst thing that could EVER happen to any mobile device and it shows every day. The hardware on the phone is VERY nice, but the software which they chose to put on this completely breaks it. If the HD had android on it would have been fantastic, but some egghead in HTC got such a FAT kickback from MS that he turned around the OBVIOUS choice and installed this flippen VIRUS on it.

Stay away from the HD2....it's a nice idea, that is ruined by MS.
