IPL 2016 - The Official Thread

Sandeep Sharma to McCullum, OUT, stumped, off a fast bowler! That was excellent stuff. We all knew McCullum would jump out of his crease at some point, and Sandeep pulls his length back just a bit and gets the ball to shape away. McCullum pokes at the ball, which swerves past his outside edge, and he's stranded a long way down when Saha whips off the bails

Don't see that too often :erm: McCullum walked straight past it with a bit of petulance.

Kings XI Punjab 161/6 (20/20 ov)
Gujarat Lions 162/5 (17.4/20 ov)

Gujarat Lions won by 5 wickets (with 14 balls remaining)

Sunrisers Hyderabad 182/6 (20/20 ov)

Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 45 runs

That was a huge win.. well done RCB

Are Pakistani players still barred from the IPL for petty political reasons?

If they are, it is a real pity. Some exciting players of Pakistan descent. Imagine Boom! Boom! in this tournament. Hafeez. The Akmal brothers. Real pity.

RCB v DD: did you fellas see this catch? Remarkable fielding effort on the boundary with Watson and Wiese... wow!

Aravind to Iyer, OUT, oh my word, what a catch that is. We've seen a lot of assisted catches near the boundary, but this might be the best of the lot. Watson runs back from mid-on after Iyer steps out and miscues a big hit. The ball is not middled, but it's still going three-fourths of the way to the long-on boundary. Watson is sprinting full-tilt, the ball is dropping over his shoulder, and he judges it perfectly. That's step one. His momentum is carrying him towards the boundary, and he flicks it backward just as he's about to go over the edge. Wiese is following him from mid-off, the ball is flicked a couple of feet from him, and he dives full-length, grabs onto it, and finishes inches from touching the rope himself. Wow. Just wow.
