Good game. Well bowled Morris and good batting by QdK. AB was good too...
They aren't banned but no one is going to buy one with the risks involved of them getting visas or not. Simply not worth the risk.

Not banned but the franchises have to carry the additional security costs and they (Pakistanis and Sri Lankans) are not allowed to play in some Indian states.
Interesting wasn't aware of the sri lankan problems.

Looks like this is the IPL for RSA players. De Kock, ABD and Faf all scoring well. Although Faf is his usual slowish self at times in terms of strike rate.

As mentioned before, impotent World Cup team SA become the gang bang IPL champs.
I know we joke about it, but I have been thinking, would CSA paying them money that is comparable to the IPL not motivate them more? Currently they receive peanuts compared to their IPL earnings.
the earning more vs pride of playing for a country should not be a factor. case and point the west Indies.
the real question is. would it be worth it for one really rich SA business man to buy an IPL team and pack it full of only SA players? would that team be the best IPL team?
the way our local boys played over the weekend makes me think it might be a great batting unit(like RCB) but will fail at bowling. I mean other than Imram who else has bowled well?

Nope its the structure that's a problem, evident by Haroon Lorgats constant interference with team selection.
In India De Villiers is practically worshipped and soon QdK and Faf will follow suit.

What about the pressure factor? In said international tournaments there has been growing pressure on the team to get results, whereas this possibly isn't the case in their respective IPL franchises.
There is pressure in fracnhise cricket as well. Businessmen and bollywood actors are paying them huge amounts to perform. If they don't they will be cut from their squads and may not get the same deal or not picked when the next auction comes around.
They are freezing at the international level, same happens to bangalore in ipl cricket(always freeze when it comes to semi time). Proteas are missing something mentally that championship sides have, a coolness under pressure.
