No, teams are keeping a budget for the players they want - Ishant Sharma was only recently on the block (certainly after McCullum and Ponting) and got $950 000.

Also, some players, particularly the Australians I think, have international commitments during the six weeks of the IPL and will be unable to play all the matches. (That is, if the Aus tour to Pak goes ahead. Symonds has withdrawn from the tour and is available for all matches).

Any word on whether we can watch these games?? This is going to be brilliant.

Surprised Warnie only got 400 000. Maybe he has poker engagements.

Do the english team have other commitments or are their players just so poor that no one wanted one??

KP must be devastated that he isn't the top rated player money wise.:D
