iPod warranty

If I buy and iPod from the USA, will it be covered locally by the 1 year warranty?
ie: take it to any local Apple reseller to be replaced

Not sure about any reseller but when I bought my first ipod from Amazon it had problems. Core sorted it out once I produced the invoice.

Yea, bought my macbook in HK and kept my invoice.... Just incase i ever need to go to core... I wanna try buy an international 3 year extension actually. Anyone know if i can get it online?
