IPTV Buffering???

I agree fully.

I feel the same about this nonsense about using a VPN to view stuff not available here, whether free or not, being illegal.

I originally got a VPN after reading Kevin Mitnick's Art of Invisibility to protect my privacy, the other stuff is just there. I won't go out of my way to get access to geo-blocked content. Google TV and Xiaomi TV+ is built into my Xiaomi MiBox and it activated automatically when after setting up the VPN on my router.
The VPN terminates in a region where those services are legal, hence why they work.

It's a public forum, and we are an ISP, so we need to make these things obviously clear. I don't use their services. It's got nothing to do with my morals.

Loads of people think certain pirate IPTV services are legal because they pay for them.
I highly doubt, with all the fear-mongering DSTV articles.

I agree. People are quick to contact you to complain because their IPTV service is buffering but when you ask who the provider is they give the name of a pirate service and will not understand that these pirate service do not have local nodes so buffering is going to happen as they do not have the infrastructure as the legal providers

Buffering is related to the quality of the service you purchased as well as your internet connection. Always request a free trial before paying because the quality is not the same with all providers. I also tested many providers before finally finding one that suits me, and I’ve been using it for over a year without issues. As I mentioned, make sure to test the service thoroughly before paying.

On a protocol level there are lots of various influencing factors, and latency is the biggest one. You need a lot of throughput on a single TCP session for these streams.

So a touch of packet loss on your line or backhaul and it can have a large influence.
