This thread has proven (AFAIC) that all the US has invested in demonizing Iran with the same amount of questionable evidence they used for the Iraq invasion seems to be paying off with rednecks coming out of their foxholes to post on forums like this and abusing the tag system

And all that your post has proven is that you have no command of the English language.

I think it's more interference from the anti-mosad protection unit on his head

That's funny... none of the Iranian sites seem to be working now.

Maybe they blew themselves up? :D

So now ABC news is reporting it...

Oh wait... its probably just more Iranian propaganda right?

Yawn!

And this comes as a surprise that Islamist countries are cohorts.

Iranian officials claimed this week that the U.S. had "a hand" in an April 12 bomb attack at a mosque in Shiraz that killed 14 people, according to Mehr News Agency, quoting Iranian Intelligence Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei.

Islamic extremists agenda now blamed on the U.S.

Would have been better PR if they had kept it realistic. i.e. leave out the BS about bombing an terrorist.
Um, so then what kind of bombing is it?

Americans arnt dumb enough to target those targets. Religious targets? pfff. These are not CIA plans.
No, but they are dumb enough to pay other people who target those targets.

Now who's going to fall for propaganda from the Islamic Republic of Iran - BA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Funny, you seem to have no qualm with blindly believing every word that comes out of a certain other intelligence ministry...

You cant possibly be considering comparing the two. While all groups lead towards bias and to some kinda censorship, comparing the liberal media with 3rd world rebel state media.... well I dont think I know many people who would think that.

If you look at how news and media is collected, how different state and private agencies regulate that media you would simply not a clue of whats going on in the real world if you thought they are comparable.

Its fun to have a look at how different sides look at the stories, for instance, Al Jazeera is about 400% more accurate than Russia today, and I would go and say for the most part... Al Jazeera is up there with the BBC in what I consider to be accurate, responsible and reliable reporting. I never get my news from just one source if I can help.

Saying all this, the origin of this data comes from "Iranian sources".. and it was then turned out in the Iranian government propaganda machine. Its likely to be as reliable as a Zimbabwean election result. Which means mostly lies and the possibility of one aspect of the story being not a lie.
Ok, let's assume that something like this really did happen. Since the Iranians are all a bunch of liars, in what way would you expect them to blow it out of proportion?

ROFL tinfoil hat logic at it's finest
Guess we better include tinfoil hat methods in the SI then.

The Islamic Republic of Iran attacks it's own citizens - now please don't respond with the conspiracy theory BS.
:D

So, you give a conspiracy theory and then immediately follow by saying, "now now, no conspiarcy theories please!"

LOL

Good, because anyone that believes anything credible could come out of the Islamic Republic of Iran should seek professional treatment.
But on the other hand it's reasonable to believe "the enemy" are all compulsive liars?

I don't doubt that the CIA may be carrying out operations inside Iran, but to call it Terrorism is a bit of a stretch. More like counter-terrorism.
Oh, is that like where you declare war to preserve the peace? Orwell must be turning in his grave.

Lanc and the the tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist obviously have trouble distinguishing the difference between a open democracy and despot dictatorship
Except that the behaviour that Iran is describing is actually in keeping with the pattern of behaviour of the US as described by many many other sources, both within the US and without.

by all means question it... that is what a good citizen is supposed to be able to do. We don't accept anything as a "given" without sufficient proof.

But there is also such a thing as proved reliability over time and "trust". I trust most of those American news sources (most, not all) because for the most part they are trying to be objective. They believe in objectivity. I know this because of their neutral stance on the Iraq occupation and other such issues. They are also not scared to break controversial news stories or scandals. And many of them have proved that they are more willing to go to prison than to reveal their sources. That kind of objectivity impresses me.

The Muslim sources on the other hand are undtried and untested. Time will tell how objective they are. For the most part I am pretty impreseed with the quality of Al Jazeera, but they have yet to be tested on a major issue. When the time comes for them to stand against Islam or one of the major Muslim governments we will see what happens. The jury is still out.

I am not telling anyone to just take what they are fed... but come on man. If it is between ten different American news networks and one Iraninian newspaper... I don't think it is that hard to tell who is talking BS!
Riiiight. If you'd pay attention to the kind of news that *does* get broken outside the mainstream, you wouldn't be claiming objectivity in US newspapers.

Those newspapers are all owned by 5 different corporations. Even if you have 10 of them saying one thing, it just means the same voice coming from two different locations. Any journalist that doesn't keep with the company line gets asked to resign quick-quick. Just the other day there was another story about Monsanto leaning on a radio station because one of the radio hosts dared to hold an open discussion on the more dubious sides of Monstanto's behaviour.

Those corporate interests are primarily interested in revenue, not the truth, and that revenue is provided by the people paying for advertisements. As far as those corporations are concerned, the advertisers interests outwheigh that of the public.

They both can't be lying :o:rolleyes:
Of course both can be lying. If two people are arguing over whether an apple is purple or white, does that mean the apple can't be green?

Islamic extremists agenda now blamed on the U.S.
Yeah, cuz we both know that the US never ever ever trained anyone from the mideast. ;)

oh great... another conspiracy nut pops up. Let me save you some typing... your buddy poopee over there already convinced us that you don't believe anybody, ok? So we are not going to take anything you say seriously either ok? ;) Save your finger effort.

Likewise

You don't have to respond to me but why ignore Xarog?

In other words, because you can't argue your point of view on the merits, you instead decide to resort to ad-hominems. Nice.

He's just back from Quds Force training school loaded with a large dose of propaganda :D
Sure mate, whatever delusion floats your boat. Just don't bother the rest of us who like to have a grip on reality, mkay?

ROFL what the leftards reality that you'd rather live in a religious extremist autocracy over an open democracy.
Yes, I'd rather not pay taxes to the state that is responsible for causing more wars than any other. If I must live in a ****hole like Iran or Zimbabwe in order to achieve that, so be it.

I never said I wanted to live in either place, but again, you've shown that you don't give two hoots about reality. Isn't it about time that you bring up the chalk-snorting joke again?

Because of stupid statements like this...

But on the other hand it's reasonable to believe "the enemy" are all compulsive liars?

He thinks we are being unreasonable because we distrust the Iranian media... and yet you and him are more willing to believe them than the Western Media... and yet at the same time... you both claim that you disbelieve all media equally. Notice the discrepancy here?

Pick a position here.... if you say you distrust all Media equally, then stick with that, but then don't try to prove to us how reasonable the Iranian assertion could be.. or that the CIA do in fact carry out such subsersive operations... Just leave it at the distrust.

OTOH, if you want to back the Iranian assertion, then just drop the whole "we don't trust anyone" facade... cos right now you are barking up two sides of three different trees... and it makes you both look life fools... comprende? :)

*sigh*

I never said it was credible

I am open to all views

Hence why I don't need to pick a position.
