We sometimes send a PM, but do not want to take responsibility for it. If competitions become too much admin, we will not be able to run them. It may seem logical to say "a PM does not take much time", but things add up.

If someone of the forum is willing to PM the winners it will be great. I know this sometimes happen...

kilo sent me a pm when i won the ipad mini if I remember correctly. I did lose one comp because I never saw the thread my name was in.

rpm, why not announce the winner in the thread of the competition and then close it immediately. That way the winner should at least be subscribed to the thread in which the announcement was made.

I didn't realise until today I had to hunt for a new thread to find out who the winner was.

edit: Also didn't realise we were expected to vote for a winning thread in this comp??

This is seriously the first time I have won anything (legitimately) EVER!

Firstly, thanks to the mods and sponsors for the opportunity to win this amazing prize. I feel very fortunate to have won such an awesome prize after such a relatively short time on the forum. I get a real sense of togetherness amongst the forumites from what I have read so far, and I hope I get to continue to give my 2c for years to come.

Thanks to all that contributed to and voted for my thread. I hope it serves its intended purpose and benefits the people that learn from it. There is nothing more rewarding than living a life free of debt. I hope it gets added and positively contributes to the main forum so that we can all benefit from each others collective knowledge.
