Hi Bromster

Before I forget - please get a step down converter for the US plug, otherwise the power supply will blow. These Roombas come from the US,

Enjoy the prize - really cool robots which really do work.

Thanks. Will do.

It's arrived. It's the 32GB wifi only Tablet S. Has a US power cord but used my PS3 cord instead.

Oh yeah that's the same model I won. It's ... not bad... I ended up selling it and getting a Nexus7, then an iPad3.

Good move. If anyone want to swap for galaxy tab or ipad let me know :)

So I put this little vacuum to the test...

Very nice modern looking little robot. It comes with the vacuum, docking station which charges the unit, extra brushes and filters etc (which can also be bought online), 3 'lighthouses' which help the robot move from room to room. http://postimg.org/image/hlvxhbybl/ These lighthouses also serve as 'virtual walls' which can be placed to prevent the robot from crossing the imaginary line. http://postimg.org/image/pc2pmh0n5/ The docking station came with a US power cable which plugs into the transformer, but this was easily replaced. The unit can also be charged directly without the dock if needed.

Features:

1) Auto clean. Unit reverses off the docking station, vacuums until the room(s) has been completed. Then it returns to the docking station and puts itself on charge. http://postimg.org/image/uc05uf69t/

2) If the battery goes flat during vacuuming, it will automatically return to the docking station and charge itself.

3) You can schedule the robot to clean on specific days at specific times. So, it can vacuum while you are at work and be done by the time you come home.

4) It easily navigates under couches and tables. It is actually really clever how it navigates around chair legs etc. http://postimg.org/image/525e7bzi9/

5) It seems to learn its surroundings. The first run was very erratic, but the robot seems to create a map of the room which it keeps in memory.

6) It picks up a LOT of dirt, especially from the rug which I thought was clean to start with. The big stuff it picks up can easily be discarded from the removable bin. The small dust particles are picked up by another set of bristles under the unit and get stuck in a separate section of the bin which contains the dust filter. http://postimg.org/image/70c25bs01/

7) If you get impatient and quickly want to tackle some crumbs that it missed, you can control the robot manually using the wireless controller. http://postimg.org/image/ol9zgoy9t/ "Spot" mode is for cleaning up a once off mess. Put the robot in the middle of the mess and it will spiral outwards to about a 1.5m diameter.

8) The Roomba is quiet enough that you could have a normal conversation while it is busy.

Overall, I am super happy with the Roomba. Initial charge is 16 hours. I haven't run it until it goes flat, but it vacuumed for over an hour with no problems. It has already changed my life. Thanks myBB :D

EDIT: Pics added.

Just remember those things aren't a substitute for an actual vacuum cleaner. You'll burn it out if you don't do any more vacuuming.
