Irritating calls from 031 numbers

I have blocked all 031 and 087 numbers.

Cannot block them as I have family in Durban and the alarm company calls often from an 087 number.

But I have over a 1000 blocked numbers. And I am starting to get the odd spam call from 021 ...

Hi guys

I've been receiving irritating ghost calls at least twice per day from 031 numbers. When I block one, they just move to the next one. When I answer the calls, there is no one on the other side. The numbers are:
031 823 8973
031 655 7448
031 655 7446
031 823 8974
031 823 8956
031 823 8955
031 823 8952
031 814 0426
031 823 8966
031 655 7455
Have anyone had the same experience?

i spoke to a call centre agent a while ago in Durban .he said its basically like a ping if you answer then they know the line is active so they pass it onto an operator to phone you to sell you something if nobody ever answers it goes onto the back of the pile again .true /not true ,dont know .tracing agents also do it

I hate these call centres after they scammed a family member. They told him that he will lose his number if he does not renew his MTN contract. Long story short, MTN didn’t care a thing. They are all part of it.

Now I always use Truecaller. The Caller ID alone is such a big help. I found adding myself to the National Opt Out Database has reduced the calls, but you still get the occasional call. If I do answer, I threaten the caller and tell them it’s illegal what they are doing since I’ve opted myself out of marketing calls and they generally stop.
