I agree with you 100%, but some people's insunuance that the DA would do better havae nothing to back those claims with. Wich brings me to the uncomfortable assumption that maybe it's because they're white. I don't know. How did you decide that specifically the DA would do better? What about the ID or the UDM?

Oh and they did serve in the apartheid government, wich means that they were never in opposition to apartheid.

McBride served the ANC, when he killed all those innocent people. Silly statement? Of course it is, so was the above. I would like to think the parties of today ain't stuck with their heads in the past.
 
What a silly question. Of course its all about the money. What else would it be about? The football? Professional football hasn't been about the football for many years now.

On the AA and EE subject, this is the topic for a different thread, but the DA has stated that it is against any discrimination. The logic being that treating one race separately from another instantly assumes that one is inferior and needs to be treated differently.

OK JK8, let's look at three possibilities that could arise if the DA got into power:
(1) They keep affirmative action
(2) They dismantle affirmative action
(3) They go for reverse affirmative action (reinstitute apartheid)

Option (1) is clearly not rational, with a white voter base, they would destroy their support base, and go against the wishes of their voters, which would lead to a sense of betrayal and a mass defection from the party (if you doubt that this will happen, I suggest you look at how the politics in Cape Town played out with the ID).

Option (2): is sound and rational according to their policy.

Option (3): is against the policy of the DA and their forerunners the PFP, and would result in a civil war.

So if it isn't rationally in their interest to lie, why would they? (as you imply).

Upgrade of Electrical Infrastructure

The need for upgrading of the electrical infrastructure has been earmarked to supply the Central Business District prior to the proposed re-development of Green Point stadium. The new Stadium would require an additional 10 mega volt amps load of power. The existing electricity distribution network is not equipped to supply this demand and will therefore require upgrading sooner than expected if the stadium is constructed. The proposal is therefore to upgrade the Montague Gardens, Foreshore, Roggebaai and Koeberg Road Substations. A new substation will also be required at the new stadium. This upgrade also entails the installation of underground electrical high voltage cables from Montague Gardens to the upgraded substations and stadium site.
