Is Afrihost currently down?

Does Afrihost not own Cool Ideas?
The majority stake in Cool Ideas will make Afrihost a significantly bigger player in the South African fibre ISP market.
Afrihost already owns a majority stake in Axxess, one of the country’s premier service providers.
This acquisition will create a powerhouse with three of South Africa’s top ISPs under the same umbrella.

Yes, that's true I guess. So same same. Or is Cool Ideas a better bet. Just getting the feeling people prefer Cool Ideas more these days
Nope just a few clowns on this forum that tells everyone those two are the best. Same as LG tv, Philips airfryer and BMW 320d.
All ISP's run smoothly most of the time, its is when the shyte hits the fan that you see the good ISP's rise to the top and sort out the problem quickly, not just MBB hype.
The clock is ticking.

Up for about 30 minutes now, crossing fingers it lasts.

Trying to decipher what you're asking here?
Or perhaps your AH line disconnected while you typed and only half your question made the post...
Listen people. Civilisation is crumbling today, I get it. But let’s not turn on each other. Together we can rebuild our internet.

OpenServe, AfriHost, tempting_fate: given the bemoaning of connectivity, been remarkably stable here

Afrihost's and Openserve's engineers and their respective social media teams are not going to have trouble falling asleep tonight.

They have been very busy today and have been (justifiably in this instance) taking a lot of fire and brimstone.

Aaargh.... If this was Murica' I'm sure we'd have a definite case for compensation. WFH users loss of income. Hybrid workers have to face the anxiety and trauma of leaving the house, seeing people, etc. For me, having to come to the office in Sandton, only to leave at peak hour later to face JHB traffic. But worst of all was last night, being left alone with my own thoughts. Unable to zone out on YouTube or Netflix or something. I almost considered reading a book or speaking to someone. Almost...

I have a company data sim just so that I do not have to go face internet-less colleagues in Sandton. Did work well when I had to use Vumatel as FNO

If you want SLA, then pay for business, or do what the rest of us WFH guys does, get backup Internet. Most months I pay for nothing, until I need it, then I'm happy I have it.
