Is any1 else having issues with nextgennews?

I'm constantly having issues with authentication with my NGN account. Every time the account is needed (it's set as a backup account) my SAB logs will show:

Failed login for server news.nextgennews.net:443

It doesn't fail all the time but it does a lot of the time.

Does anyone know what's causing this?
 
Been having the same issue, sent them an email and they said it had been resolved. Guess not
 
Has anyone ever been able to contact nextgennews directly?

Bought an account from them, but it's not working.
 
I am connecting with my free Axxess 1gb account and NextGenNews is not working.

NextGenNews works (albeit slowly) with my FNB uncapped account. What gives? :confused:
 
Getting authorisation timeout errors since this morning on vox. Haven't tested another account.
 
Voxtelecom website was down for me last night. I was trying to activate a trial 40gb account .

We've had a database issue between 9AM and +- 16:00PM. We are basically pushing poor mySQL to it's knees. The rate of connects/disconnects has been killing the server (this is a known issue with mySQL, it's terribly slow in setting up new connections). This is also related to the intermittent authentication issues that's been long ongoing for quite some time now.

We've resolved the issue, and made some serious performance increases in the database side. Everything is running very good, as well as stable. We're actually seeing a massive increase in the performance of the system, and a large drop on the database which frees up more capacity.

Our first major toss up for the year, and again I am sure it won't be the last. We do learn, and improve each and every time something like this happens though :)

I am getting the same problem again this morning, timeouts on authentication.
 
Most of my downloads are failing. Says may be out of server retention. Even though it is less than 100 days old. Not sure what the deal is :(

I also switched from a premium account to a block account to use as backup. I was getting authentication errors, too many connection errors, many failed downloads and corrupted downloads. No problems since switching away though.

I am not renewing with them. And I know many other also will not. And well deserved. They provide no support whatsoever. Souf Efrican service at it's best. Lying on the beach counting money while the server falls over.
 
Still no reply to my emails and the usenet server is lacking. Always leaving me with incomplete downloads.

Back to astraweb I guess.
