Is anyone else having prolems connecting to steam with mweb uncapped?

Hi.
I just upgraded to 1MB uncapped (yesterday afternoon) with mweb and now my steam cannot connect.
Is there anything i can do to get this working?
Can anyone at mweb confirm a problem connecting to the steam servers?
Is anyone else having a problem with this?
Please help.....

I had a few minutes of trying to connect, but it is fine now. Overall I have no problems connecting to Steam. I'm on Mweb uncapped 1MB.

Just got it working, I removed the dsl from @dslmweb to just @mweb.co.za in my username. It uses a different network afaik. Works fine now

Am also having a problem connecting to steam (4mb uncapped).

Tried removing the "dsl" from login to no avail...

Was working perfectly last night.

Just changed accounts to a non-mweb account and it went through instantly.

make sure all your p2p stuff is closed when you try to open steam

Yeah I have the same problem on mweb 4meg. I thought it was me till I read this. Closing p2p and torrent programs didn't help.

Ok I'v soloved my problem, I did a combination of closing P2P programs, disabling anti-virus, and removing ..'dsl'.. from my username. It then worked fine, so I returned everything back to the way it was and now it works fine. I would suggest putting the 'dsl' back into the username as after some speed test it showed the line was quicker with it in. If anyone else has connected using other ISP's and couldn't connect when you went back to your mweb account please let us know.

I'd just like to throw it out there that I couldn't connect to Steam for about a week or more, no matter which server I chose (local, mweb, non-mweb, international, whatever). When I _do_ manage to connect, my downloads are dog slow. They peak at around 250KB/s and then drop to a steady 15KB/s.

I'm on mweb 4mb uncapped. So if anyone else is having issues you are not alone.

I'm busy trialing a MWeb 4mbit uncapped account and my Steam insists that I do not have an internet connection. Using one of my other accounts, it works fine, however. This does not fill me with confidence in their product.
