IS Hosting Price Realignment..

Hey.

Just a heads up to ppl who use dedicated hosting or the like from IS,
contact your account manager for a price re-alignment.
My data bill (not the lodging) went to 10% of what it was..

seems they are doing it alphabetically but that could take a while.
Asking gets it done faster.

Are there actually any IS customers out there who still pay their standard pricing? If you do not manage to either drop your hosting fees per year by at least 25% (or increase your hosting value by 50%) then you are doing something wrong.
 
I have a faint suspicion that we might be paying full price still - have 8 hosted servers with them...

That really depends on what you're offering. Bandwidth in S.A. might be getting cheaper, but just about everything else is getting more expensive. Probably the only reason why IS can drop their prices at all is that they owned their particular segment of the market for so long. I imagine that's not the case anymore.
 
If you are still paying more than R14/GB and you get charged for inbound and outbound traffic, then you need to really revisit your hosting agreement (or move on to another provider).
