Throughput constantly yo-yoing.

I'd like to investigate this further, so can everyone on the Kyalami tower please disconnect now. My investigations shouldn't take longer than a few months ... your cooperation is appreciated.

The randburg tower must have blown up or something cause its like 28k now :D

You guys need to take the erlang effect into account (erlang = A unit of traffic intensity)
for instance: if hypothetically WBS only had 10 megs international bandwidth, and at an instance of time 100 people try to access it, then everybody would get 10/100 megs, but if an instance later only 10 people were accessing it, then everybody would get 10/10 = 1 meg

I am going to buy a 56K Modem now.

terrible results... complain... phone and complain.

As I said before. Everthing did work 100% and the problems only started lately....... I need a better antenna now that is five meters in the air. Bla bla bla

To phone take hours because they try to find the fault on my side but there is nothing wrong.

How to train a WBS support desk staff member. Client: I have a problem. Staff: It must be your MTU settings. (This response will fix the problem every time - Yeah right!!!!)

dunno LCE...

some suggestion you can try:

use the usb software that comes with the modem... dowload a 2Mb file and cheack out your frame error rate... it should stay under 7%

take a drive around your neighborhood and see if anything new is being built. believe it or not that can sometimes be the problem

phone helpdesk and insist a techie looks at your base station.

unplug modem for a while (2 minutes) and plug it in again

If this problems persist ask to speak to the helpdesk manager or even a technical guy. sometimes that will sort out the problem.

Hope you come right.
