There are 2 problems facing IS at the moment.
1. Telkom upgrade to 4mb on ADSL lines is causing a major problem as the 1mb uncapped adsl units were never rate-limited as there was no need as there was no adsl faster, now that it is here, some of the uncapped adsl units are running at 4mb, which is killing ths IS backbone as well as the IPC links.
2. AT&T has had a major network crash worldwide, they are fixing the problem, however there are still some issues, IS's main links sit with AT&T or at-least there international peering does.
