Is it worth studying at UNISA?

Good morning everyone,

I'm looking at doing either an IT diploma, or a BSc in Information Technology part-time. I'm struggling to find a institution that allows part-time studies of these qualifications that's worth while. I've been looking at multiple institutions and what they've got to offer. Richfield's College was an option that I've looked at, but I'm not convinced after doing more research and reading some reviews.

I've been looking at UNISA and although I know that I'll be completely on my own when it comes to assistance with modules, and I'm going to be left in the dark with regards to the administration side of things, but the costs of the qualification does make it really appealing.

Is it worth giving UNISA a shot? or can someone possibly give me alternative options to intuitions?
 
Yes, definitely worth it m. I would avoid Richfield.

University of London may be a better option for remote study, but may also be more expensive.

It's definitely worth the trouble. Pull the trigger and go for it, in 4-5 years time you will be grateful you took the plunge.

Its worth but I would suggest looking for other alternatives if you have any.

Yes, do the IT Diploma at UNISA, I am in my final year and the diploma course was nice.

Although I must warn you, you won't be able to directly convert to BSc Informatics/Computing from the Diploma at UNISA, so you'll have to do an advanced diploma somewhere else (this would be easy as long as you live in a metro).

Even a kid can get a diploma nowadays, standards for that NQF class are pretty poor in most places. I wouldn't waste my time with that, go the degree route instead.

Its better than doing nothing, do a BSc. You can always complete a Masters degree afterwards at a reputable university if the brand bothers you.
