A beginner should ignore both parts, coming from a Arch user

Same here, have not been distro hopping since I found Arch but I would still not advice it for beginners.

Agreed. I hopped after finding it, but mainly because I didn't have the time to figure out how to get it working well on my laptop. That's when I found #!.
