Is Nvidia shield pro still the best?

Very happy with my Nvidia Shield Pro, and no issues with my Fire TV 4K MAX stick, or the Xiaomi Mi 4K TV Streaming Stick, in the lounge. Not a Apple fan, but they do make good stuff.
Money wasn't a barrier for me when choosing which media player I wanted.
After the research I settled on the Nvidia Shield Pro.

The Apple TV had either some bugs or limitations that disqualified it.
I truly cannot recall but I don't support any specific ecosystem.

My work and home computers are Macbook Pro, my phone is Pixel 3A XL and my TV is Shield Pro but I truly don't care.

If you are a zealot about technology based on a company you really need to rethink if you realistically can be objective.

Not a Zealot by any stretch of the imagination, just that I appreciate the freedom Android gives me, and Apple locks me out off.

Like I said Apple make good stuff, it just not for me.

Would not mind a Apple Macbook Air, but not at that price

Sorry I should say that comment wasn't per-se aimed at you, it was a generic comment :)
I think there are people in the thread that tend one way or another and some of them are very fanboy-ish

If you had a tv with dolby then you would see the dolby logo popping up. But since you have a tv that cant produce the required nits you wont get any dV or atmos. Invest in an LG C1 before buying your surround.

so your tv needs to support it 1st before your surround

1 week review on the C1 plus Shield.

First bug i found. When you try to resume a Dolby Vision file using plex it fails. You cannot resume. Hdr and rest works fine, but with plex you cannot resumea Dolby Vision mkv file.

I googled and its a known bug.

There is no winning it seems
