IS or SAIX ISP???

Next to C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe there's an icon. Click the icon, edit, mark, select the text, press enter, and paste it here

btw guys, which network would this be going through, if you recognise it:

On iBurst, just wondering if I'm currently on the IS or verizon backbone. Also, I have a problem that my pings to SAIX, as you can see, get very high. The first Telkom IP comes in at 243ms. :/

Not sure about the timeout, not usually there iirc.

@frana That should be SAIX.

Edit: Thats a TENET (SAIX) Line, Enjoy! :D

Actually it's much easier to just do a reverse DNS lookup.

Go to http://remote.12dt.com/ and type in your IP address and it'll tell you which domain you're on

edit: mistake, that won't necessarily tell you which backbone. Sorry

Wow, he's using something good, :eek: unshaped maybe?

Looks like SAIX again, definitely not IS unless it's their fiber, but your friend probably wouldn't have that unless he's rich or it's for work.

lol, and highflyer is right, much easier.

lol

It's TENET. IOW, University Line. Super fast. Must be unshaped with those pings.

lol @ original post and subsequent questions. A thank-you would be nice too.

:)

Aah yes, RAU, uni.ipnet. All the signs were there :p

UCT's TE line is never nearly that fast, but I suppose term is over so the tertiary line should be almost unused, compared to normal at least. That traffic also gets preferance to ADSL etc on SAT3, so definitely unshaped too.

Strange. UCT has a bigger international link than Stellenbosch and bigger backbone overall...
