Guys i dont know maby its just me but it seems like pc graphics are very bad when compared to xbox360 and when is dx10 coming out?:rolleyes:

from my side my PC has taken a back seat after its HDD gave up the ghost... too many hassles to reinstall my games plus the patches.

X360 all the way now until Hellgate:London is out.
 
aggg soon as the DirectX 10 video cards come out then PC's will be tops once again.Dont worry to much bout it,the only thing i like about the 360 to a PC is that you dont need to worry about system requirments.Ive had a top of the range PC then all of a sudden theres a new game out that my top of the range PC cant even run proper.

so for now ill stay with my 360 as its simple to use and all you do is buy the game put it in and play.

besides the 360 is a pc :D
 
Most game developers are focusing on console now...even ID software is doing a console movement
 
Um dunno what pc you have seen, but i haven't seen any Xbox360 that competes with top graphics on a computer :) you can even look at its specs and see its worse ;)

Quite true but at a cost of what? R5k for a DX10 gfx card again? :p

And no, the 360 aint a PC, the PS3 is. ;)

@ 4cer - you havent seen Gears of War yet? Nothing on the PC touches it that is available as yet.

The 8800GTX gives both the PS3 and 360 carrots grafix wise..... untill you see the price for it tho. :eek:

I'm hoping to get the chance to play GoW this month but if not I'll have to wait till Crysis comes out. Or UT2007. :)

when i say i was a PC fanboy.....not anymore!

consoles are taking over the world muahahahahhaahah!! muahahhahaha!

Sure. But imagine 6-10 months down the line the 9800GTX comes out and then what? Spend another R5k for prettier graphics and more FPS? Ouch! :rolleyes:

The console developers can make DX10 games run on the X360 simply by cutting out the DX10 commands which for now only add extra special FX only. Look at FSX which runs fine on a DX9 PC enabled gfx card. R5k for special FX? Ouch again! :p
 
Consider XNA wraps DX10 and 360, who cares? ;)

It's the usual situation. Consoles will rule for the next two years until 8800/Xenos class graphics are mainstream.

And like everyone else says, why wait 6-9 months to spend the R5k on gfx now (and your new dual core and RAM etc etc . . . ) and fork out for UT07, When you can drop R4k now (bonus time nogal) and get a 360 and GoW, which is UT2007 anyway . . . .

umm, this reminds me of when the PS2 came out and all the console guys were like
"Damn PS2 GFX is so amazing, the PC has like fallen so behind, the PC will never have such amazing graphics like this, its like totaly awesome, like far out dude!"
 
i will reserve judging people till they have seen Gears of War on a HD set... reserve judgement.... reserve judgement... eish. :p

yeah i remember watching the new unreal engine like 1 year ago and asking myself will i ever see graphics like that,its amazing how the 360"console" took the "PC" engine and made it there own.

as said many time before the PC will overpower consoles very soon "BUT" at what price will you pay?like thats 5k for the new video card dude,yeah like totally unawesome!:)
 
I agree with all you guys. I'm a PC fan boy....but pretty soon, that will change. Mark my words....pretty soon. :D
 
i've been reading through this thread and every second comment is...the graphics....the visuals...the new DX10 Graphics...geforce this...ATI that...

you guys are missing the point....a good game is not about graphics...yes it plays a part...that's not as important as gameplay...

Consoles just have better games...and with developers moving more towards consoles....the PC gaming days will come to a end.

Not sure what you define as 'better games'....this type of thread always ends up as to why a console is better than a pc or visa-versa (sp?).....the two forms both have a place and there are advantages and disadvantages to both...why not accept that there is a place for both???

Ultimately where there is a demand that will be met, if people fail to buy pc games (for example) no one will make them...simple economics :rolleyes:
 
it IS about the games but it also is how easily you can play them, how easily you can invite friends into them, how easily you can get it to work, etc.

thus far the X360 wins hands down in the true plug & play environment of gaming... no patches, firewalls, hackers, cheaters or online issues.

its a bit difficult to see the light if you sit in front of your PC all the time... ;)
