Okay, so now i'm confused. I was under the impression that Telkom were offering uncapped local, but some users were adamant that this is not the case. So what's the official verdict?

i would also take this opportunity to respond to "Browser", since he conveniently allowed a previous thread about this to be closed so that i couldn't respond to him.

You insult people and refused to even consider that you are wrong, which you were, when they explain things to you. When I ask you to stop spamming this thread and creat a new one or PM me you tell me to take my temper elsewhere.

first of all, i did not insult anyone, i put my point across in blunt fashion. if ur feelings are hurt then tough.

You're an arrogant and ignorant fool. How you de expect people to react when someone who is clearly ignorant to current affairs degrades people who try to informing him. Take your mentality elsewhere.

2ndly, i'm not ignorant nor arrogant. i was sure that what i knew was correct and plz don't talk nonsense about me not knowing about current affairs. to the rest of us on this forum, we know what we saw when the news said Telkom were offering uncapped and then you come along and say otherwise. what did u think the response was gonna be? ur temper and tolerance leaves little to be desired.

This is ridiculous. All you had to do was consider what others were telling you. I even told you what news to look for. I bet you didn't even bother to run a single search.

i did consider it after i learnt the facts. did you expect me to drop everything i had previously read and just go along with your theory?

Oh, and please learn english sometime.

now you're just being immature "Browser". I expected a much more mature response and not one with anger and resentment.

In any event, i apologise for pissing you off and i would appreciate if we leave it as is.

There isn't one yet, Telkom seem more confused than us, they're currently "testing".

uncapped but not free - well what difference is there to how things currently work?
Pay more - get more B/W
Use more than your cap - pay for more B/W
Cant see how this is going to improve anything except ppl using TI just wont get capped, but will get charged..
Telkom loves loopholes in regulations designed by somebody who clearly doesnt think telkom would abuse such things..

AFAIK what Telkom is proposing is not what most people would consider uncapped. IIRC the regulations said that local usage should not be subject to the cap - meaning that only international should be capped and the fixed monthly subscription should include unlimited local access. Based on what was said at ICASA's complaints hearing Telkom's interpretation seems to be that local and international will jointly use up the "cap" and then local would be available on a pay as you use basis. IMO this is not what the regulations require but I doubt Telkom or ICASA care.

You get uncapped local but the catch is you have to pay for it.
Yep, get out the vaseline.
