Is Telkom using more Seacom bandwidth than we thought?
No, they are not.
Same here.![]()
I have already raised complaint with ICASA regarding general ADSL saturation at my exchange... and this doesn't help at all.
ADSL has deteriorated massively... with all these uncapped accounts exchanges appear completely saturated.... and unless there's a hardware upgrade we're doomed to poor speeds.
*Sigh*

Nah dude the speedtest was a single simple example to confirm that I saw the same as the original poster - i.e.: there appeared to an issue with Telkoms international link. In terms of the over saturation of the exchange - different issue - which has been confirmed by twice by Telkom when the techs involved checked the exchange logs. Problem is... they simply haven't resolved the issue... it's been 5-months now.So lets see you do a speed test and that instantly tells you your exchange is over populated, so you have access to the exchange network traffic?Be careful what you claim to think to know using speedtest as a definitive guide is ill advised, considering it could be international links and peering on the way to the test site that causes issues.

Nope... the one's who never seem to sort out problemsWhat techies were these? The same ones that came out in their bakkies to your premises? If yes, then they were feeding you BS as they don't have access to those records.
