is there a better Android tablet deal in SA?

I know the tablet is nothing to write home about but for the money can you really complain or beat the value offering?

I recon that's the cheapest you will find. In all honesty though I'd rather swipe the old credit card, put it on a budget plan, and get something decent.

But obviously all depends on what you intend using the device for.

I have a Vodacom Kicka which is much cheaper than this and its works. Whatsapp etc work, its not a pleasure to use but it gets the job done. I woudnt game with it but for basic tasks sure.

I'm going to get 1 for my 7 year old today. R699 at Game. These tablets are very basic and very little on-board space for lots of apps.

If it's for a kid, then yes. If it's for you, then no. You'll end up using your smartphone instead of this.

I have not checked it out in person yet, but I was thinking for reading books and any other basic stuff. If performance is decent, maybe some low to mid end games, so I dont have to kill my phone battery.

not alot of onboard storage true, but it comes with marshmallow which alots the microsd card to be formatted and used like internal storage, if i am not mistaken. let me know if this isnt the case.

migth well be as these are usually rebranded vodafone devices from the UK so there is a chance I spose.

that would be weird considering the feature is implemented in the OS and if the feature only let u store content instead of apps, this would make it no diff to just using the card normally

True about marshmallow, but what I have learnt recently is that some manufacturers block this ability.

Agree, the tab is probably OK for the price. Whether it is OK for an adult in 2018 is another story.
