Is there any benefit to upgrading the Dashboard software?

Does anyone know whether there are any benefits to XP users with datacards, upgrading to version 9.x of the VMC Dashboard software, occasionally mentioned in this forum? It's a substantial download, with most XP users (like myself) still on ver. 7.x. Thanks!

V9 is substantially different from V7, so it might be worth it. If you don't feel like doing the download, pop in at a Vodashop and see if they've got it on CD. Maybe call first.

Just upgraded the dashboard-combination of dash and flash is excellent so far..
Also saw 1.4Mb/s downloads for the first time..!
Could only capture 1.29Mb/s on pic.
Nice one VC!

Speed test was dismal.....630 odd download and 210 odd upload...saw way more when downloading the dashboard..Maybe not good at that moment I tested..
Im happy though.
New dash is rather strange by comparison to the old ver7 ..Have to get used to it all over again.Also dont like the automatic selection as I manualy selected connection and forced 3g to connect..Now it auto selects the best connection which may be gprs only...Mmmm.

That decided it for me - I am not remotely interested in software that makes the selection - I have yet to see where it works well.

I wil upgrade the firmware, but the dashboard - nada

you guys must try Multinet. Pretty awesome alternative to the vodafone dash, and doesnt slow your system down to snails pace

Updated my Dashboard to version 9 - for a change the connection appears to be more stable...hope this does not only for tonight

I'm currently testing the "Mobile Connect" software which I like because:
it includes SMS functionality
its loaded onto the modem cd rom
it works with XP and Vista
