Is this Arsenal's year?

I know a couple of Arsenal fans that want Wenger out, and a few that believe he should stay....

Ask those who want him out who should replace him?

Arsenal fans dont realise the difference between Arsenal and Spurs is Arsene Wenger

And those that boo a team after a pre season friendly aren't that much more intelligent than julius malema

Personally I think we should stick to Wenger at least until Pep's contract with Barcelona expires.

Yip. In Arsenal we stand, in Arsene we're divided :p

I personally don't want him out but at the same time it would be nice if he acknowledged that his philosophy/plan was slightly flawed if it was designed to be self sustaining and rewarding. And then I don't know, maybe do something about it?
As David Dein pointed out, the Arsenal board have a real task on their hands when they have to replace Wenger.

Some of us do but if you look at it, financial stability aside, Spurs look likely to overtake us for that somewhat vacant 'big four' spot if Arsenal continue as they have over the last few seasons.
And that would be a f-cking shame.

I agree 100% but I suppose those same fans that booed were looking for a 'friendly' win to ease their minds? The shambolic end of last season wasn't that long ago and when they saw the same 'problems' in a preseason friendly... well, it's hard to look past that.

Anyway, that said, I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. I think a top 4 finish, good domestic cup runs and some entertaining football is on the cards for us Arsenal fans (as usual :D) anything more would be a bonus. Anything less and hopefully it will be the proverbial kick up the backsides that Arsene and Co. need.

Arsene Wenger won't go.
If the sales do happen:
Cesc - about ÂŁ35m
Nasri - about ÂŁ25m
Bendner - about ÂŁ9m
Clichy already gone for ÂŁ7m.

We bought 3 players and you look at a net profit of about ÂŁ35m to ÂŁ40m by my estimates. You tell your boss that you didn't win a trophy but you made a lot of money. He would be exceptionally stupid to let you go considering the financial situation around the world at the moment.

Wenger is Arsenal whether you like it or not. Soon there will be the Uefa ruling of clubs that have a certain value of debt will be excluded from the Champions League, then you see clubs like ManUtd and Liverpool having problems, we'll be able to sit back and smile a confident smile.

Arsenal will not win anything. They have again failed to strenghten while the likes of city, man utd, chelsea and even lfc have added to their squad. If I was an arsenal fan I would be more worried about finishing 4th...

I don't think Wenger had much of a choice in the sale of certain star players, the board supercedes his authority and money decisions have to be made. Maybe you guys should give him credit for soldiering on against all odds?

Um
He has strengthened
Chamberlain, Gervinho, Jenkinson, and Ryo just got his work permit

The only thing left to strengthen is central defence and we sorted.. even when nasri ****s off

We just need to hold on to Cesc

I personally think we could sign Sergio Ramos, Pique, Maicon and hell, even throw in Vidic for good measure and we still would have problems in defence. As I (think I) said before, our defensive problems go a lot deeper than our back 5 and it's been that way for a while now.

Don't know any of those unknown players you have mentioned. youngsters and a few average players that wenger gets the most out of them.
out of the top 4 this season and for good i'm afraid.

Yes yes,
Arsenal are in the top 4, its liverpool that needs to regain that position ;)
until then, enjoy your mid table club label :) along with clubs like Spurs and Blackburn

Way things are looking on the transfer market, Arsenal are in some trouble... Lets hope Wenger can pull something out the hat, but currently we have less defenders than we had last season, don't see how that is improving our very bad situation.

How do we have less defenders than last season?

Maybe phiber thinks ol' Diaby is fit again? ...and everyone (except Wenger) knows that Arsenal are technically are a man light when Diaby is on the pitch :erm:

I am an Arsenal supporter but HERE COMES another trophyless season. No aggressive and convincing signings.
Yipeee..We signed some youngster again...and youngsters make an overall impact how?

Dear god... I miss the days of Henry and co. I'm sorry but even the Carling Cup last year would have been fine.
This season there are no expectations. Will be honestly shocked if we win anything

So... worst defeat in Wenger's Arsenal career to what he considers rivals?

...right then.
