First thing I thought of was this dude was free lancing for a lot of newspapers - each must have given him a camera to take pictures on... doesn't quite make sense I know but neither does he!

It kinda does make sense if you consider the absence of a screen on the back of the one camera that you can see the back of - he's shooting film!
 
Narcissism... Although the cameras miss him a little - maybe his sight is kinda impaired from staring into all those flashes?
