hi guys

i find that virgin i the cheapest to connect with.is this still the case.what about goggaconnect?i saw the ad on TV

On prepaid, yes, Virgin is the cheapest. With gogga you have to take out a 24 month contract, And it seems more or less the same as Voda and MTN data bundles.

Never used iburst but doesn't seem like it from some of the posts on here!!

So isn't it better to go for the cheapest unreliable option if two or more unreliable options are being considered? :D

True but I find Virgin the most unreliable out of all 3 I've tried, at the moment I'm avoiding it for my sanity. :D

I have a VM and a VC sim and swop as required depending on reliability :)

I do exactly the same. Depending on reliability and freeness of the vlive! APN. :D I'd definitelly say VM is more reliable than Vodacom, though.

Virgin is still the way to go IMO. No contract required to get the 50c /MB deal :D

From what I understand, Virgin do not have anything higher than GPRS speeds - is this correct? If so, then I'd rather pay the extra and go to Vodacom (or MTN) and use 3G or HSDPA - depending who offers the biggest
3G coverage.

VM also has EDGE, and some people are getting good speeds :)

Why would you want to pay 4 times as much for a tiny increase in speed? EDGE really isn't that much slower than 3G, especially on Vodacom.

In my opinion, VM EDGE is actually just as fast as Vodacom 3G.

I don't know how hard my download manager was lying to me but I downloaded a PDF File and the speed was 20-35(Max).

I don't think that is physically possible on EDGE is it?

What was that? 20-35 dogs? Cats? Kilobits? Kilobytes? Virgins?
