Is vodacom bis down

Cant get my bis to work, is vodacom BIS down?
Call center is not so helpful, im told they not sure it might be

Vodacom down here in Cape Town too... struggling to get BIS to work - phones displaying 'edge' instead of EDGE and messages not going through.

Mine was down, I contacted Vodacom and they ensured that a technical problem was attended to, 2 hours later Bis was back to normal

Contacted Vodacom today. It seems there is still a problem with the 8520 phones. They say RIm is working on it. (whatsapp works and BBM works but there is no internet connection)

BES down too so no email even via wifi! BBM not working either today. Must be a RIM problem.
