Any proprietary (i.e. excl. cellular based) wireless broadand provider that doesn't have a WiMAX migration built into their strategic roadmap needs to have their head read. I'm assume Knott-Craig Jr & co. are not that stupid.
They way standards-based WiFi consolidated various proprietary WLAN technologies in the past will be what WiMAX will do to the WWAN landscape. Uncle Intel will make sure of that.
So yes I can forsee that iBurst will change from being a technology brand to being a network provider one. Especially since the inventors of it, ArrayComm have totally ceased development of the technology.
