Around November of last year there was a small army of Vodacom Fibre salespeople that descended on my neighbourhood. They came knocking at my gate and asked if I was willing to pre-order a line to my house. I immediately, and impulsively, ordered a 500/250 package. Some time goes by and Openserve called me to confirm my address, payment, and other details. But what peeved me is that they make it pertinent that they and only they (Vodacom) are the ISP for my neighbourhood. So, my question is, are they taking me for a piss? Because if they are the one and only ISP, I might rethink my decision because of reviews like this, this, and this (With a plethora more on the internet). Because I'm quite positive they are just using this as a ploy to get to you before the likes of Level7, mWeb, Axxess, etc. can. I'm writing this because they came again yesterday with a platoon of salespeople and bags full of empty promises to inform us that Metro Fibre Networx took the project over from Openserve, then the same question popped into my head....
