Is your credit record clean?

I think I'm going to do that...apply for credit at the bank and give the reason as Subscription Porn sites... see if anyone notices.
 
I think the cheap thing has something to do with the new credit act... Although, even three months ago 149 is high, most places only charged about 80
 
mine is blank.. but then i never had credit before :p
 
except if your data is out of date and it cant authenticate you, which means either you dont have a credit record (i guess) or telemarketers wont bother you
 
I hate telemarketers... they phone, i ask where'd you get my number, they hang-up.

My new way of dealing with them, they phone, I say F* off and I hang-up... Needless to say, the calls are slowly decreasing.

ITC is legally obliged to provide free credit report to anyone who requests. But to apply, they expect me to sign consent and legal bondage to the 'agreement' terms and conditions. Are they mad? There are some scary things in there. For example, 'Use of information' includes 'distribute its (transunion's) marketing material. And they also waive their obligation to provide accuracy, completeness or reliability of any of their reports.

I would recommend to everyone not to accept or agree to be bound by these condidtions.

Also remember that their 0861 contact number has high call fees associated with it.

I did not get this far in the application myself, but if it is true, this is very dodgy.
 
I subscribed, then got an error on page 2 submission, I retried and was told I couldn't sub twice. I have no user name, password or credit rating. I tried their support line from the web page and have spent over 30 minutes waiting for someone to answer!!!!!!!
SCAM!
 
Update: Support told me to ask switchboard for the admin dept. I phoned and they told me I need to fax through proof of residence and ID doc for Fica... I am doing that now.

Groundnut, please keep us update. I also got an error that my detail that I submitted is not matching theirs. :(
 
Well, it's now the next day and still no reply from them. I guess I'm gonna have to phone again. Kiepie - phone their landline:
0861 482 482
and press 5 for switchboard, then ask for admin department - the only way to speak to someone who cares. I'll keep you updated...
 
OK - Phoned them and spoke to someone who found my fax. They said they would process it "now" and my report would be emailed to me as well as my UID and PW.
