I'm using Ematic 4K Android TV box and dl speed is more than adequate (200Mbps+)
Initially everything was working ok, now a 2 weeks later, some series that we have been watching fine up to now, wont play and crashes the D+ app (Mandaloriam and many 'newer' series)
Also, pin neede to sign in to all profiles, even kids profiles that were not set up to use pin ??

Is it just me ?

Update:
Is seems the issues is not stream box specific, and yes some shows like Futurama works fine. Just a hunch, but If you are having issues, are you using an audio receiver/ARC ?

Solution 1:
Chromecast from disney+ app on phone to TV if supported - strangely this works great and even looks better than native 4K??

Solution 2:
Change the streaming quality settings to anything but "Auto" just when it starts playing.

It's an Indian app. Horrible

Its not officially Disney+ from US devs.

Its a third party agreement and built by a Indian dev house for Africa and Asia.

So buggy AF.

What do mean not set up to use a PIN? If you're talking about the code sent to your mobile number, then that is effectively your password. However you should only need to log into your account once and then be able to switch profiles without logging in each time.

No problems on our two Ematics. Only funny thing is, when on Ematic's homepage, the Avatar/icon for Disney has disappeared. It used to be there but last few days just gone. Or maybe I should rather say its black/blank. Still there just not showing a picture.

Maybe you should go on Ematic's website and ask for help. I got great help, quickly the few times I had a problem in the past.

I'm getting the same on my Shield TV Pro...thought it was just me. Plays for a few seconds, lags for a few seconds, freezes and then crashes. Tried a whole bunch of debugging but no success so far. Not sure if it's a specific codec issue as shows like Futurama seem fine.

I get the occasional audio glitch where it seems to switch to a single speaker or an endless buffer where I have to exit the show I am watching and then click on the episode again. So far I'm pretty happy with it on my Samsung TV.

Runs okay now on my Google Chromecast with Google TV. Occasional buffering, nothing unbearable

Apple TV. Mostly works smoothly. Been asked to log in three times in total so far. The OTP takes around five minutes, so if they force me to log in when I need immediate entertainment, it’s annoying.

I hate that.

I often have to resort to calling

I've been using Disney+ from the first day in South Africa and it seems that this Hotstar version can't handle 4k. My Samsung TV app doesn't support 4k(support says Samsung is not supported yet). I then tested my bedroom Google TV (on my non-smart 1080p tv) on my 4k Samsung TV with better results in 4k and Dolby Surround. I went and bought a Xioumi 4k stick from Takealot(it was on special) and had the same problems in 4k(buffering and then kicked out of the app) so I send it back and got a Google TV (pug). Now the app does exactly the same(buffering and kicked out). The app changed from one week to the other. Seems that Disney didn't test this Hotstar version at all. Updates make it worse. So frustrating as I love the content on Disney and need to see it in proper 4k.

I was waiting for someone else to also complain

Mine also crashes but only when I watch Obi Wan Kenobi:ROFL:

Every time I go into it I have to skip a bit of the video wait a minute or so for it to finish lagging then I can watch

And don't dare press on Skip Recap

The only 'broken' thing about Disney+ on my side is that a 1080p x265 torrented file is visually superior to a 1080p stream from Disney+ (on Brave browser, Windows 10).

Almost everything is broke, so frustating.
