Is your Disney+ broken ??

I had so many crashes last night, Obi Wan S01E03, SA Disney+ on MiBox 4S and LG Nano79 4K TV on 50/5 Web Africa fiber. Both apps kept freezing and crash. Switch over to UK Disney+with VPN and playback was 100%, even through VPN ?

The only 'broken' thing about Disney+ on my side is that a 1080p x265 torrented file is visually superior to a 1080p stream from Disney+ (on Brave browser, Windows 10).
That's not surprising considering the buginess coming from them.

Getting crashes too but just at start of episodes, restart then works fine.

the lack of subtitles is rather annoying but suppose not a show stopper just got to pay closer attention. It is such a basic they should have had right from the beginning.

I was waiting for someone else to also complain

Mine also crashes but only when I watch Obi Wan Kenobi:ROFL:

Every time I go into it I have to skip a bit of the video wait a minute or so for it to finish lagging then I can watch

And don't dare press on Skip Recap
Same here both on Ematic and Samsung TV app. Looks like Obi-Wan causes huge issues as other shows works fine.

Funny thing is I got the subscription to watch Obi-Wan and now I have to use illegal means to watch it.

If your TV/streaming box has Chrome-cast, rather use the mobile app and cast from your phone. This works surprisingly well, and has no problem with OB1 and the others that crash normally

No connection issues, but wife watching a series, and every new episode starts right at the end. Need to rewind every time before watching. Very strange and annoying

I have a Chromecast with Google tv.
D+ app crashes when I try to stream at 4k. I've been forced to use 1080p

Yep, noticed this as well. My son had been watching Obi-Wan Kenobi and I had to rewind 3 episodes one after the other when I went to binge a catch up. No option to resume or restart.

I'm using Ematic 4K Android TV box and dl speed is more than adequate (200Mbps+)
Initially everything was working ok, now a 2 weeks later, some series that we have been watching fine up to now, wont play and crashes the D+ app (Mandaloriam and many 'newer' series)
Also, pin neede to sign in to all profiles, even kids profiles that were not set up to use pin ??

Is it just me ?

Update:
Is seems the issues is not stream box specific, and yes some shows like Futurama works fine. Just a hunch, but If you are having issues, are you using an audio receiver/ARC ?

Solution 1:
Chromecast from disney+ app on phone to TV if supported - strangely this works great and even looks better than native 4K??

Solution 2:
Change the streaming quality settings to anything but "Auto" just when it starts playing.
I have been running into these issues as well. and since my smart TV in the room is not a compatible device (Vidaa TV) I have been resorting to watching on a tablet in bed and the caching is horrific, tablet complained that I was running out of space thought it was weird checked the storage and D+ was caching over 30GB worth of content.

Identical experience. I just torrent the Disney plus content now. I paid for a year subscription but can’t watch in 4k, so I’ll get the content another way.

If I read all of these issues, I guess I must count myself very very lucky.
I use an Apple TV 4K, watched probably around 80 hours of content since subscribing and I have not had a single stutter. Picture is great and Atmos sound is even better (I have a full 7.3.4 Atmos cinema with 4K projector).

Also streaming on my iPad over 3G, no issues whatsoever.

I thought I was the only one struggling with 4k on android disney+ app. Plays for a little bit and then stutters and finally crashes the app.
1080p no issues at all. I haven't tested on the LG app, but the android one is useless.
