If there is one thing that pi55e5 me off, it's an uncapped package that costs the same amount as a capped package, and yet won't let me download the same amount of data as the capped package even if it ran 24/7 for the whole month. That means it's slow as a donkey, and especially slow at the most inconvenient times of the day. Also it throttles and shapes basically all traffic except speedtest.net.
The package I am speaking about is an uncapped 2mbps package from PC Network.
So how the heck do these uncapped packages stay in existence? :wtf:
Also, my VPN won't connect on my PC Network account unless it is though SSL, and even then it's throttled constantly. It is fine through my Axxess and Afrihost accounts.
Spoke with PC Network and they say everything is fine on their end, and told me to speak to my VPN provider.
I spoke with VPN support, and sent them debug logs etc but they cannot see a problem on their end.
Bottom line is VPN works on the other two ISPs but not on PC Network unless it is through an SSL tunnel. PC Network denies any knowledge of this problem.
I would avoid this ISP like the plague, but it's part of the package in the flat I am renting and the agent will not change it (yet). I really would like to put this "free" data to use for overnight downloads, and use the capped packages from my other ISPs when I need a better quality connection.
Hope this all makes sense, I am ranting somewhat.
