ISP Praise Wall !!!

Cybersmart

I would like to praise Cybersmart for their great service and offerings.
Been with them fir little over a year now and had no problems.

The last month or so (since uncapped rules the world) my DL speeds are around 1.3kb/s average.

Now I dont know if it is Cybersmart's fault or who to blame for that.

But good job guys.

SAOL.COM

Everyone has been slating SAOL for not being able to offer their Simply Uncapped 384kb service anymore, but remember they had NO shaping on this account.

I always had full speed anytime of the day, on any protocol.

They changed it to 30Gig, which is still a good deal, considering the issues with uncapped shaping and all.

They offered me a 4Meg + 25Gig unshaped deal which I took, since 25GB is all I need but at higher speed.

All I can say is WOW, full speed on any protocol + very low latency - 35ms local & 325ms to the UK.

THANKS to Malon @ SAOL:)

FNB Connect
Quick and Easy sign up, got my data quickly and my questions where answered fully, within an hour by phone and email.
Brilliant service! All ISPs can learn from them. :)

I really, REALLY have to recommend WebAfrica to anyone planning on using them. I switched over from Afrihost (To a Titan Data 2 special) and I've had NO issues whatsoever. I haven't seen my download drop below 400kb/s once... and I've just discovered the Freezone steam server. A little bit of tweaking and I've downloaded 5gb for free :). I'm really impressed with their service, and I'm really impressed that they're paying special attention to the gaming section of the market. Definite thumbs up from me :)

WAZZUP

I'm on their uncapped, unshaped account(they have the lowest price for this type of package).
Brilliant speeds all day/night long.
Excellent,fast customer service(thanks Andre & Nadia).

I have the Titan Complete from Webafrica, their service has been very good and the speeds I am getting are excellent. More importantly the speeds are consistent at any time of day.

I have to give a thumbs up to Telkom - I reported a fault in my line yesterday via their web portal, got a phone call this morning and the technician was here an hour later! I just that they are as efficient upgrading their line speeds after the world cup. According to the techie, they are using most their capacity and after that they will have a glut. we will have to wait and see I suppose- no other choice.

You are right and I must say that I am very happy with my service provider, Imaginet, I have never seen them mentioned here (not that I have read all the posts), I have always found them to be very professional and quick to sort out any issues I do have. :)

Unlike when I was with  @lantic when my connection died suddenly and the technical I called told me I had :( walked too close to the back of the computer and caused a static reaction causing the connection to cut out. :D After arguing with him that I did not deem that feasible or humanly possible as my cpu was standing on the top of my computer desk in the corner against a wall. A lizard could get between it and the wall and not a human or even a cat for that matter.

:) You must be situated in Pmb as that is the kind of service we get from them here. :)

situated in the mother city- half way between newlands and rondebosch. The techie said that it was only Cape Town central that had been effected by the telkom " world cup freeze" everything is game on ( excuse the pun)

i was seriously impressed by mweb's accounts department. it's been a very long time since i've spoken to such energetic, friendly and helpful person on the other side.

/stamp of uber approval.

Threads like this are awesome. You normally only hear about the negative experiences people have & NEVER the positive.

Nice one!

MWeb. Their 4MB/s uncapped account is a great product. It is shaped, but their shaping is intelligently managed in such a way that it optimises the experience of all users. Other ISPs could learn a few things...

Rather than starting a new thread I'll post in here. I got my ADSL line installed and got MWEB's 4mbps uncapped product. My experience so far has been great. Normal downloads are never below 350kbps torrents and such are shaped during the day but I don't use it. During office hours I am able to work normally uploading to my FTP site and do remote support via many products like LogMeIn.com, VNC, Teamviewer and Remote desktop. Yesterday when the Seacom cable pegged MWEB managed to sort out a backup within a couple of hours.

The MWEB rep on this site seems to always be on the ball although I have not had to request anything from him. I am able to play LAG FREE local games (BF:BC2, MW2 etc) anytime from 17:00.

Keep up the good service MWEB! I am really impressed since the first experience I had with your uncapped service via another provider was awful but only due to the link at the exchange being faulty. What would make a really good sticky in this forum is if someone could detail the different hops, equipment, servers, protocols etc. that could interfere with your connection quality as it seems that MWEB gets blamed for everything from faulty ADSL lines to eskom power failures :D
