ISP Recommendations

I'm in Kwa-Zulu Natal in the Dolphin Coast area and I currently have a 4Mbps with Afrihost. However, the past few weeks have been absolutely dreadful with no fix in sight. The line has been performing as if it were a 2Mbps.

This is a waste of money so I want to know from anyone who is close to the Dolphin Coast or someone with a good review; what ISP do you recommend?

I bet AH has nothing to do with the speed of your line, find the underlying problem.

Please sign up for a free 1gb account with another ISP on a different network to eliminate AH.

I use these:

www.gridhost.co.za
www.crystalweb.co.za
www.webafrica.co.za

These all use Internet Solutions network.

Avoid Mweb, they'll rip you off.

Do not use Mweb, because Uncapped with Means you will be throttled like there is no tomorrow when you hit 110 GB, if you want a good ISP move to Axxess. The support is great you will not be told everytime you log a complaint, please remember Sir there will be a call out fee from Telkom if your fault is not on their side. With Axxess I actually receive a call from the Telkom Technician that tells me what he has done from his side. Axxess all the way!!!

Axxess uses the same network as AH. We trying to eliminate the network, but yes, Axxess manages their's better than AH.

Case in point: You don't see much complaining on their thread.

I know they use the same Network, I was actually just replying to Mweb Guy trying to give people false hope by moving them to Mweb.
 
Katipo , take MWEB dude`s advice. I changed to MWEB a while back , happy day`s since then.

I signed up for 4mb premium. They charged me up front for 2 months, was shaped off the bat with torrents so cancelled immediately out of principle. Of course, because of the 30 day notice, I had to put up with it for 60 days.
 
has the OP actually sent the results of his router? When i had a 4mbps line, i got around 2.9mbps and around 3.4mbps on a good day. Most times i dipped just below 3mbps. So if his issue is speed, then im not sure why he is blaming Afrihost.

Avoid MWEB like the plague, They are the WORST ISP IN SOUTH AFRICA. Even telkom is better than them
