ISPA ADSL complaint close to conclusion

If the CC are anything like ICASA, we can look forward to a few more excuses as to why no action will be taken against Telkom.

Whatever the outcome .. nothing will change .. and Ivy will still be in power and I don't feel the pain anymore, and have given up on telecoms in general and am going off to sell toilet paper at traffic intersections ...
 
I hope they stick it to Telkom... please... I hope they get fined Millions!!!

If Microsoft can be fine Billions... at least let Telkom feel it so it hurts sore... let their sphincter get stretched to breaking point for a change!

I hope that the CC can be far more stern than Icasa. They did block Telkom taking over Business Connexion IIRC.

It seems that most of these bodies never really do anything truly useful. The only one I can think of with some real clout is the Advertising Standards Authority. They took on many of the big companies in this country and have actually won.

Even if the CC only does a few things against Telkom, every little step helps. The more they keep chipping away, the sooner things will collapse. Suddenly Telkom will have shares drop further, maybe a price cut or 2 to try and lure customers. Just got to keep up the pressure
 
I know that part of the reason the CC only got round to doing the investigation now is that they were busy with other investigations - I know of a few persons at the CC that is working their arses off with this issue. Another reason (which I'm not sure has been resolved) is about who is responsible: the CC or ICASA. Trust Telkom to dispute this if its not in their favour. ICASA is also not very responsive - trying to defend administrative territory they perceive (rightly or wrongly) to be theirs.
 
Well since ICASA have proven themselves to be WOEFULLY incompetent on this issue, we need to find a way to hand it over to the CC if the verdict will be in our favour.
 
my 2cents: telkom is going to get its ass nailed to the wall. the CC is all over them.

Telkom are still not paid their last CC fine of three Billion - what needs to happen is to get a constitutional court ruling that Telkom and its Directors (past and present) need to pay up- might as well chuck IV in there as well - here's a thought, maybe the Scorpions were going to look into this
