Hi All.

I stay in Mowbray (Southern Suburbs, CT), although I have DStv installed, I decided to keep my analogue package, so that I have the freedom of having another M-Net channel, as well as DStv, and please don't mention xtraview, as it's not an option right now.

Yesterday, I replaced the antenna that was on the roof, I bought a dual UHF/VHF antenna from Ellies, and I mounted it yesterday. I have a direct line of sight to Constantia, I can also see Tygerberg, however Tygerberg is behind some bushes, and my path is not clear, I however attempted to point it in the direction of Tygerberg, to which I get intense ghosting on all channels, the issue I had I with Constantia due to the different polarity, and reconfiguring the antenna, however I eventually got right, I connected it to an old 3 point splitter I had lying in my drawer, as I connect another TV, as well as my own.

Picture wise
SABC1 = Perfect
SABC2 = Watchable, but does give interference at times, and minor ghosting
SABC3 = Perfect
E.TV = Perfect
Cape Town TV (Horrific, but this is to be expected as that's from Tygerberg)
CSN = Watchable, however picture is noticeably somewhat snowy, and has minor ghosting at times.
M-Net = watchable, however lines appear on the picture screen, these are very brief, and comes and go, obviously interference of some kind, seems to be very sensitive to interference, and cars driving past etc.

What I do know, as far as the antenna setup is concerned, I have used the original equipment that was there, (pole, mount etc), and although the pole is still structually sound, the mount, in which it is screwed to the roof, is extremely rusty, and due for a replacement, although the antenna still holds in the bracket perfectly, I am able, to adjust the direction of the antenna with my hands without unscrewing anything, and Cape Town's winds don't help much, however I'm unsure if this is by design, as this is analog, not with Digitial, where everything has to be 100% all the time.

Thanks
