Hi everyone

When I type in our website name: www.africaninvertebrates.org.za it works fine, but not if I just type in africaninvertebrates.org.za without www.

Why is this? Is the DNS not setup properly? If so, who should I contact to fix this?

Our DNS is ns1.iafrica.com and ns2.iafrica.com.

I can't seem to find any contact details for iafrica apart from their general site which is useless to me.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

If you log in to your DNS control panel (if you have access), you have to set up www.domain.co.za to also point to your web server. Alternatively you can contact your hosting provider to do it for you

If you have Cpanel access you'd add a Cname for www pointing to your org.za and an A entry for the org.za to your site IP

You're missing an A record for africaninvertebrates.org.za - If you have access to a dns zone editor then try creating a new record called @ and point it to 41.86.112.50

The issue doesnt relate to his www record but rather his a record for africaninvertebrates.org.za

Ah Cool, thanks for all the answers guys. Unfortunately I don't have access to any editors or control panels, so I'll give Mweb a call and see if they can help.
