So I went to the newly opened iStore in Eastgate and took look a around mainly to find a cover for an iPad 2. I notice the shop sells the Bose MIE2 headphones. The headphones are priced at 1399 at the store.

I bought the same set of headphones on the other side of the mall (@IC) for 899. How does the iStore explain this price difference? Granted it appears the IC price matches what you can get at Amazon.com minus duties/shipping (~$130).

Now I sit here wondering whether I should be going back for the iPad cover at all.

Does the Istore now have stock of IPad 2 with 3g and wifi , the last time i checked they were saying stock was not available

I bought a smart cover for R300 on bidorbuy, they go for R480 in the iStores.

Apple controls the price of iPads - that's why the pricing is so reasonable. They don't control the price of accessories and that's why iStores rip you off.

I came across this on amazon, and ordered it via take2. I have the ipad 1, and it seems theres many specials to be had as the demand for Ipad1 accessories drops off.

Cost me R213, whereas looking around here most places want around R500
