It all seemed so simple until recently

This winmo 7 is no eyecandy you got to say... and,
If you look at their competitive advantage, elements such as Microsoft Office integration, Xbox integration, Bing integration, Zune integration – all point to a truly compelling offering when compared to what is out there at the moment.
I wouldn't consider that a competitive advantage - it's effectively Ms integration and who uses Zune & Bing? Ms are just using this to punt their unsuccessful product offering.

I've tried others but as a business user nothing comes close to Microsoft. Cannot wait to get a new HTC HD2 with Windows Phone 7!

I've got the SE XPeria, good hardware but I absolutely hate Windows Mobile 6.1. It shouldn't be allowed to come near any cellphone. Sorry, I'll stay away from any Microsoft OS on phones in the future until they can vastly improve their mobile OS, I don't buy the hype.

:)

Front runner - Meant in terms of a leader in terms of technological progress and innovation rather than market share.

And you must remember that many of the 47% of Symbian "smartphones" aren't that smart. More like "ordinaryphones".

And i'm no iFanboi, I have never owned an Apple anything - I'm Android, previously Blackberry. :)

I do agree that those iFanboi's need a backhand-wakeup.

I will seriously consider this new OS once it gets released... and I'm pretty sure a few companies will also reconsider their Blackberrys IF this OS is up to scratch.

you still with your  iGrenade?

Best combination business/"entertainment" phone out there in my opinion...

WinMo7 will have some pretty high standards to meet.. but I reckon MS can actually make it happen.
