It is called a Traffic Light!

:o Wiki is not a trusted source though :p:D

True, but we all still :

Wear takkies, not sneakers, walk on the pavement, not the sidewalk, some of us drive bakkies not pickups, go for the ocassional jol, take a dop, and land up with a babalas.
We use lifts not elevators, put in petrol not gasoline.
We eat the occasional sarmie, braaivleis, bredie, bobotie, koeksister, bunny chow, mielie, snoek, kingklip, biltong, boerewors, and spanspek, often washed down with mampoer, pinotage, rooibos or the odd cooldrink rather than the soda, or soft drink.
Some of us live in a dorp with the veld around and maybe a koppie and kloof nearby or out in the bundu, with only a small cafe and maybe a shebeen or bottle store.

We have a good language why ruin it by trying to be like everybody else.

Lol, I agree 100% with you :)

**Tekkies ;)

Whats the problem? its just a word. It might cause problems in the far future when we`ll have actual robots walking on the pavements. I think then we can switch to calling them droids.

"Turn left at the next traffic ligh...... oops too late"

That's Irish btw. ;)

Yeah veldt is still a know word in most of euro as well as the US. Well amongst people 25 yo or older :p
Doh.. I thought it was just the Americans adding a "t" behind it so they could attempt to pronounce it right.

Oh and just thought, when ever I hear the word BBQ, I dont think all types of food as FB3000 mentioned, I always think it will be Burgers? When ever you see them having a BBQ in movies, its burgers and sausages.... I have a friend who now works for Weber, and he has started calling it a "BBQ" or an "outdoor cooking experience". It wanna burst out laughing every time

Hotdogs and Burgers! Made with burger meat not mince :D :D :D I asked one of my american friends WTF burger meat was. Took them about 10 minutes to think of ground beef

PS: I'm not sure, I was thinking about it, though my back has been giving me hell with the cold recently and this morning I lost all feeling in my left leg again. Waiting now to see the Neuro again and not really thinking about much else... To be honest.. I am crapping myself again
